IFTS was invited to participate in an inter-laboratory test, as part of the validation process of the ISO 16232 standard (2007; Road vehicles — Cleanliness of components of fluid circuits — Part 3: Method of extraction of contaminants by pressure rinsing). Sixteen other French laboratories, including three independent laboratories participated in these trials.
IFTS’ laboratories were able to extract the most accurate amount of particulate pollution possible.
IFTS is an independent specialist in cleanliness checks and an ISO 17025- accredited test laboratory.
IFTS has been approved by the Water Quality Association (WQA) to be an independent Technical Services Provider.
IFTS has satisfactorily demonstrated its compliance to ISO/IEC 17025, and has been verified as capable of performing tests in the following categories:

IFTS USA is pleased to offer annual calibration services for its filter test stands in the US. This includes calibrating flow, temperature and pressure sensors using NIST-traceable equipment, typically to within 1% accuracy. Utilizing its highly accurate equipment, IFTS field engineers can perform the calibration on site, with minimal downtime. After performing the service, IFTS supplies a Certificate of Calibration, documenting the equipment used, their traceability and the calibration results.

The service results in a fine tuned, highly accurate test bench, one that meets quality requirements and boosts overall confidence with test results. A calibrated filter test system ensures the reliability and repeatability of development testing, allowing manufacturers and end users alike to validate the performance of filters that protect their mission critical equipment and systems.

After repeated requests from aircraft manufacturing firms, airplane engineers and aerospace filter manufacturers, IFTS has invested and developed a highly accurate cryogenic filter test chamber.
The complete test system and associated equipment, is housed in a fully insulated cold chamber which allows in depth filter tests at temperatures as low as -40°C, flow rates up to 50 gpm (200 L/min), and at differential pressures up to 90 psid (~6 bar). The flexibility of the system design allows us to perform various custom test configurations. This might include the filter and all its associated components tested within the cold chamber at a constant low temperature, or another popular method is where all equipment is held outside the chamber at ambient temperatures and only the test filter is inside at the low test temperature.
As an example; a recent test program consisted of monitoring the clogging and physical behavior of kerosene filters in the presence of trace water in kerosene at -45°C and a flow rate of 50 L/min. Water was injected upstream the circulation pump to create an emulsified test fluid and ∆P was continuously recorded until the end of test value was reached. The results provided an in depth and unique view of these challenging conditions.

In June, the American Filtration and Separations Society (AFS) held their annual Spring Conference in Boca Raton, FL where IFTS, Inc. was awarded the New Product of the Year award for the Global Fuel Water Separation (FWS) Filter Efficiency Test Stand. The conference recognizes current and emerging industry leaders.

The FWS test equipment allows for the measurement of the fuel/water separation efficiency of diesel fuel filters for road and off-road vehicle combustion engines according to American, European, and international standard methods.
In 2011, IFTS, Inc. and Sigma Design Company developed and fabricated a liquid filter test stand for mission critical vehicles used by the Egyptian Army. The state-of-the-art testing system was designed to perform qualification tests on diesel and petrol fuel filters in accordance with ISO 4020.
