IFTS Presents Liquid Filtration Testing Basics Short Course at AFS Fall Conference

The American Filtration & Separations Society’s (AFS) annual Fall Conference was held in Cincinnati, Ohio from October 14-16th. The conference was focused around the topic of ‘Innovations in Filter Media and Membranes.’

President of IFTS, Inc. USA, Jerry Lynch, presented the half-day course which discussed liquid filtration testing and test methods.

The course covered filter test techniques and standards for water, fuel, lube oil, hydraulic fluids, and other industrial liquids. Particle characteristics and efficiency methods and ratings were also reviewed.

After taking the 4-hour course, attendees left with a better understanding of the principles and methods available to pre-qualify and optimize liquid filtration selection.

Over 140 participants attended the conference from 10 countries.

The 2014 AFS Spring Conference will be based on the subject of ‘Oil & Gas and Chemical Processing’ from March 24-26th in Houston, Texas.
